The Point of The Unknown

The beauty of pursuing Christ is that despite not knowing the answers, by seeking Him for the answers, we get to know Him. What I’m learning right now in this moment is to press into Him. Yes, I would much rather someone interject like a flashing neon sign, “Alexis, I have a word from the Lord regarding this thing you’ve been praying about.” But this not knowing is causing me to press so hard into Jesus and to seek Him. And I think that’s what it’s supposed to do and why He doesn’t give us the answers the way we want when we want Him to. Because if He did, we would have no reason to seek Him. He wants me. All of me. Every piece. And if not giving me the answers right away prompts my heart to earnestly search for His, then He will withhold the answers until the time is right. Not because He withholds anything good from me, but because He is the best for me, and without Him being first, nothing else is good.

So, if you’re in an in-between season, a season of change and transition, or a season of waiting. Where everything is shifting and every day is different and the future looks vague and scarily unpredictable and unfamiliarity reigns, hold fast. Peace is here and answers are coming and the God who is incapable of failing holds you close. Lean in.
